Living Culture and Climate Alliance Kenya (LCCA KENYA) aims to bring together indigenous communities in the Living Cultures Climate adaptation strategy. This strategy is rooted within the celebration, fostering and protection of indigenous cultures and natural resources. Its purpose is to bring us together across borders and to enable us to engage with strength, positivity and integrity, with all stakeholders, on decision-making that has an impact on the environment, on sustainable development and on our cultures. LCCA KENYA takes its direction from and promotes the voices of indigenous communities from across borders. Using Participatory Video (PV) as its driving force, it is charged with protecting bio-diversity, indigenous languages, knowledge systems and governance; and with building community resilience through commonly agreed self-representation of historic and present-day practices, processes and traditions that addresses todays’ climate challenge.
